Harishchandra Gadh through nalichi vat ----- walking through sky
By - Shridhar
Hey guys I am back with my next and best experience of trekking. After reading this blog you may call it extreame trekking. This time it was H'Gad.
Our path was like this ---> pune -- ale phata -- malshej ghat -- savrne village -- bailpada --- nalichi vat ---- H'gad (ganesh guha) -- tolar khind --- khireshwar village --- pune.
It took our 110% to complete. Walking almost 12 kms , climbing 6 patches with ropes, finding caves on 4000ft at 8pm, spending whole night on open few feet near to 3000 straight fall of konkan kada in around 60kmph wind and rain, joy of finding the caves next morning, eating whatever coming to our way, returning back to with all slippery slope, the journey to and fro and full danga masti in between. This is short summary of this trek.
The views were so amazing that in total of way of 12kms around 3000 pictures were taken. Every view we got made an attempt to cease us. The power of nature bent us throughout the night. When rocks were falling on us , our hands were slipping of the ropes and we were shivering with cold we were determined to complete it and enjoy every moment of it. That's why we all were special. No one was panicking in frustrating moments.
We left pune and reached Savarne village at about 3am most of the songs and few hindi ads were sung by us. Some of them include Nirma ad, Amul doodh and all favourite Lifeboy soap. After half an hour sleep we went for Bailpada vilage. There we stopped for tea. After that it was 12 hours long trek from nalichi vat. The scenery from that point made us cease at each stage and pick out the camera. After few hours everybody used to ask how much time remaining and few hours
was the answer.
When we reached nalichi vat now it was time for professional and patient trekking. Very small possibility of mistake, rockfalls made it difficult. Dhawal was our lead climber. Aditya was helping him. Me and dhanno was at the end to take care of all and leaving our group to 20 each time. ;) With each climb we were getting inch closer and tired. But the nature was so good that no big rain hit our plan. When we were at last climb unfortunately the wind and rain started heavily which caused us some delay to reach top.
With 12hours trek at 8pm we reached top of H'gad. We hardly could see anything far from few feet. Even with brightest torch finding the way to Ganesh cave was very difficult. Even the way for it was close to konkan kada which is 3000ft deep valley. So wind reaching to 60-70 kph made it impossible. Still dhanno and adi tried to find the way to it. But we failed. So now it was test of the character now. Just sitting near konkan kada on open , at around 4000ft with heavy wind and rainfall. The worst night spent by most of us. It remembered me my previous worst trek where we spent similar night. We felt 1000 years have passed when it was about 7am.
Dhawal , Adi and Dhanno's experience let us through that worst night. On the next day everybody was aching with every part of body. Me too. But nobody showed a hint of it. Then we found out the way to the caves. Due to popularity of H'gad all caves were full. Finally we get enough place to get fresh, dry, relax and cook our Maggy and soups. Within 5 mins many were in sleeping mode. Dhawal our head chef cooked maggy and soups. All mix vegetable soup was delicious. Aunty and bhagubai helped us cutting onions and tomatoes. After that we took coffee and we started our return journey to Khireshwar village. Where our driver was waiting for us. After eating a lot everybody forgot last night. :)
On the way back everybody was very fast so we reached the village early at 5pm. kanadapohe and tea was waiting for us. We all were waiting for such treat. Then we returned back with our bus to pune at 9pm.
One most uncommon thing I found out was nobody .. nobody complained about difficulty of the trek, The night we spent, The jokes made by us, my continuous eating habit ;). So two days were very event full. Giving us new and fantastic memories of lifetime. I thank all Dhawal
(seeeeeeee),Adi,Dhanno,Bhagubai,Rujuta,VJ,VIKI,Surdas,Seedless and everyone for doing it with spirit of trekker and making it a success.
Thanks for reading so patiently ;)
Will Meet you soon with next trek.

Or can a beginner or newcomer can easily trek this place ?
